Brady PAC Endorses Lizzie Fletcher for Re-Election to the U.S. House

In a state that  experiences the devastating consequences of gun violence far too often, Rep. Fletcher has taken decisive steps to spare Texans from further tragedy.

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 20, 2026 — Today, Brady PAC, the political arm of the Brady Campaign (“Brady”), announced its endorsement of Rep. Lizzie Fletcher for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives representing Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Since flipping her seat from a top gun industry ally in 2018, Fletcher has become a central figure in the fight for common-sense gun safety, tenaciously representing the views of responsible gun owners who want and demand safer communities for our children.

In a state that  experiences the devastating consequences of gun violence far too often, Rep. Fletcher has taken decisive steps to spare Texans from further tragedy. She was a pivotal champion for passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, groundbreaking bipartisan gun violence prevention legislation. During her time in Congress, Fletcher has consistently pushed for the passage of life-saving measures including universal background checks, extreme risk protection orders, and federal research dollars to bring an end to the epidemic that is currently the leading cause of death for American children.

“Lizzie Fletcher has never shied away from a tough battle, and she has never once looked away when Texas’ children have been ripped from their families due to preventable gun violence. I wish all of her colleagues in Congress could say the same,” said Kris Brown, President of Brady and Board Chair of Brady PAC. “We urge Houstonians to send Lizzie back to Congress to continue the job of fighting for a safer and stronger America.”

Brady PAC’s endorsement of Fletcher is an early part of its midterms campaign, The Safety We Deserve, a national effort to turn out voters and elect leaders to office who are committed to leading efforts on strengthening background checks, protecting domestic violence survivors, holding the gun industry accountable, enforcing existing gun laws, investing in community violence intervention, and more.

The organization will mobilize grassroots supporters and make strategic investments this cycle.
