Brady PAC Endorses Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings for Re-Election

National gun violence prevention PAC joins the Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence in recognizing leading AG’s decades-long commitment to public safety

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 9, 2026 — Today, Brady PAC, the political arm of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence  (“Brady”), announced its endorsement of Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, in partnership with the Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence.

“Kathy Jennings understands something that too many elected officials do not: preventing gun violence starts long before a trigger is pulled. Whether as a state prosecutor, Attorney General, or as a mother and advocate for strong gun violence prevention laws, Kathy has spent her life protecting Delawareans and preventing tragedy,” said Kris Brown, president of Brady PAC. “Attorney General Jennings’ support for life-saving reforms that have made Delaware a national leader in gun violence prevention – including strengthening lethal violence restraining orders, banning dangerous ghost guns and assault weapons, and ensuring that victims of gun violence have access to the justice system – demonstrates her commitment to addressing the root causes of gun violence, not just its aftermath.

“Attorney General Jennings has been a champion for gun violence prevention from day one.  Delaware families have no stronger advocate in this fight for safer communities,” said Traci Manza Murphy, executive director of Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence. “We are grateful that the AG has always had a deeply balanced approach: she understands that responsible gun dealers are essential to public safety, and that accountability is non-negotiable when lives are at stake. Delaware must return Kathy Jennings to office this fall.”

From her years as a state prosecutor to her tenure as Delaware’s Attorney General, Kathy Jennings has consistently supported measures to keep guns out of dangerous hands and protect families from preventable gun violence. She has used her office to champion evidence-based solutions that strengthen public safety and hold bad actors accountable.

Most recently, Jennings has been a vocal supporter of gun violence prevention legislation before the Delaware General Assembly, including efforts to establish a state-run firearm dealer licensing program and code of conduct that would help ensure gun dealers operate responsibly and take reasonable steps to prevent firearms from being diverted into illegal markets. The legislation reflects a body of evidence that preventing gun violence requires accountability across the entire firearm supply chain. Sixty-six percent of guns that are recovered in connection with crimes in Delaware are traced back to in-state dealers.

Jennings’ endorsement reflects Brady PAC’s commitment to supporting state leaders who understand that gun violence is preventable and who are willing to vigorously and relentlessly pursue solutions that save lives. As attacks on gun laws continue by extremists in Washington, Brady PAC supports experienced and committed leaders in Delaware and in states across the nation who will continue advancing policies rooted in public safety, accountability, and prevention.
