National Gun Violence Prevention PAC backs proven public safety leader in one of the nation’s most competitive senate races
Today, Brady PAC, the political arm of the Brady Campaign (“Brady”), announced its endorsement of Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. Pappas is a frontline champion who has consistently fought in the U.S. House of Representatives for common-sense solutions to keep Granite Staters safe.
As gun violence continues to impact communities across New Hampshire and the nation, Chris Pappas has made clear that public safety means keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, respecting the rights of law-abiding, responsible gun owners, and reducing unnecessary risks for law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day.
“At a time when extremists like John Sununu talk a big game about ‘law and order’ while opposing even the most basic safeguards to protect our children, Chris Pappas has repeatedly shown what real leadership looks like, “ said Kris Brown, Brady PAC board chair and president of Brady. “Chris knows that thoughts and prayers aren’t enough, and that we can take responsible action to prevent guns from falling into dangerous hands and putting the lives of students across New Hampshire at risk. As a senior member of the House, Pappas has consistently supported common-sense gun violence prevention measures backed by broad bipartisan majorities of voters, including the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, universal background checks, secure firearm storage to prevent tragedies, and policies that help law enforcement do their jobs without increasing the risk of violence during routine encounters.
