WASHINGTON, D.C., June 9, 2026 — Today, Brady PAC, the political arm of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (“Brady”), announced its endorsement of 23 House and Senate incumbents ready to lead the charge for gun reform on day one of the 120th Congress. These lawmakers represent the backbone of the next gun violence prevention majority, one that will pass life-saving legislation and hold Donald Trump accountable for weak-on-gun-crime policies that jeopardize millions of American lives.
“In November, we need a Congressional majority that will actually get the job done on gun reform. These 23 Congressional leaders have the spine to stand up to Donald Trump and the gun lobby, the grit to take on the toughest fights, and the legislative muscle to deliver the results Americans are begging for in this election,” said Kris Brown, president of Brady PAC. “These candidates are ready to win, they are ready to lead, and unlike the Trump-Thune-Johnson regime, they are ready to pass strong laws that save lives.”
Today’s endorsed candidates have championed common-sense policies that have been repeatedly supported by overwhelming majorities of Americans, including universal background checks, secure firearm storage, measures to keep guns away from domestic abusers and other dangerous individuals, and robust efforts to hold reckless gun industry actors accountable. As the Trump administration moves to dangerously expand access to firearms, including weakening federal oversight, rearming domestic abusers, and increasing the flow of guns into everyday spaces, Brady PAC is reinforcing its commitment to candidates who will be the engine and lifeblood of the next majority.
Brady PAC will mobilize grassroots supporters and resources this cycle in support of candidates like these who will advance common-sense gun violence prevention policies, strengthen public safety, and stand up to the gun lobby’s deadly agenda.
