WASHINGTON – Brady PAC marked the 30th anniversary of the enactment of the historic Brady Bill that significantly tackled gun violence in America by announcing its endorsement of Abigail Spanberger to serve as the next Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Spanberger, a former federal law enforcement and CIA officer, has been a leading proponent of common-sense gun reform proposals since being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, including universal background checks and a ban on new assault weapons. Known as a staunch bipartisan leader in the House, Spanberger has brought both parties together on proposals to keep Virginia’s communities safe, including the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
“If Virginians want to make strides to end gun violence, they need a champion in the governor’s office. Abigail Spanberger is that champion.
